The Damned by Harper L. Woods

Here is a summary with spoilers of The Damned by Harper L. Woods

Margot is a siren and a witch, part of the Red Witch clan, a clan that is known for their power being associated with seduction and lust. Though for Margot, it turned into hell, as her mother gave her away as a child, and she was raped and sexually assaulted quite often. When Margot got older and was at school, she realized what her mother and the clan had done to her. Not only did she have to endure that, she is now bonded to the first one who touched her, and she has lost the power to feel love.

Enter Beelzebub, Lucifer’s right-hand man and commander. One night, he overheard a woman singing, and he starts to stalk her, intrigued by this pull he has towards her. He later learns that it is a good friend of Willow’s, Margot.

However, in a twist of fate, Margot and Beelzebub were in the wrong place at the wrong time and sent down to hell to punish Willow and Gray (Lucifer). On their way down, Beelzebub’s wing was broken, and Margot offers to mend it; though Beelzebub jokes that it would be with her seductive magic, he realizes he made a bad joke and says he would like the healing but done normally.

Beelzebub decides to give Margot some facts: they are stuck and will need to work together to get out. He knows of her past and won’t try and push anything, though he does have an attraction to her (though Margot fights back with that it was because he heard her siren song, Beelzebub doesn’t believe it). So the two start their journey through hell, and Beelzebub tries to make Margot feel strong and confident and do anything to help her not feel scared.

One tier they run into is lust, and Beelzebub believes she will get through just fine, but thanks to her past, Margot is reluctant to go through it. But they go to a ball, and Beelzebub is jealous of anyone that looks at her. Margot believes it is her magic calling to him and doesn’t want things to go further because she doesn’t want Beelzebub to feel like she ever did with not having a choice. But Beelzebub tells her that to get to the next trial, they need to do something. So she gets him to an orgasm but refuses to go any further and locks herself away. Though Beelzebub finds out that because she is keeping all of her powers in, it is slowly going to take her over and has the potential to turn her into a full siren.

One of the next levels they go through together is gluttony when Margot realizes how jealous she gets when others even look at Beelzebub. She ends up taking Beelzebub to bed, just to sleep the night together. Margot is on cloud nine when she wakes; she enjoyed the touch of a man, and it didn’t have to be sexual. Though her heart breaks when she overhears Beelzebub talk about how she is just a conquest. When he returns to her, she starts a big fight and refuses to talk about what she heard. It leads into a yelling argument, where Beelzebub tells her to go on to the next level by herself. Margot walks by herself, but then Beelzebub realizes that maybe she overheard his conversation from earlier and the lie he told to help protect her. So he goes after her, and just in time to protect her from an attack, though it almost kills him.

Margot gets to a bleeding-out Beelzebub and realizes that there may only be one way to save him, through her magic, which is going to require lust and seduction. The two end up sleeping together, and Beelzebub is fully healed, and Margot realizes that things with a man can be nice and pleasurable. They are also able to talk about what she overheard, though Beelzebub swings it to the other side and says he loves her. Margot is scared and doesn’t know how to take that info.

After another night of fun, Beelzebub slips a sleeping draught into Margot’s drink and carries her through the last level of hell. When they get out, they have made it to Lucifer’s home. But when Margot wakes, Beelzebub is gone because a battle broke out in the castle. The first person that Margot meets—one of her old captors, Satanus—starts to touch her again and tells her he has come to claim his debt. He ends up killing her and saying death is just the beginning.
