Here is a summary with spoilers for Game On by Navessa Allen
Tyler Neumann owns and runs a large underground gambling ring and has been patiently waiting for the right moment to take down his father, Richard Lawson, who abandoned him and his mother. His current plan is going well because he has brought in his target, Blake McCormick. Tyler needs Blake to start gambling and losing because it will eventually lead him to Blake’s sister, Stella. He hopes Stella will bring him into her family’s inner circle. Blake’s debt is only the beginning of his plan, and so far everything is working in Tyler’s favor.
Stella McCormick runs her own tattoo parlor and built it with her own money. While her family comes from wealth, she is proud that she created one of the best shops in town by herself. After a long day, Stella gets her final client, a consultation under the name Theo Strickland. Stella is already irritated because he arrives late, and though he is attractive, he comes across as arrogant and stuck up. Despite this, the chemistry between them is immediate. Once they are alone, the two end up making out, leaving Stella shocked that she crossed that line with a client.
That same night, Stella gets a visit from her brother Blake, who is panicked after losing his inheritance at a masked gambling party. When Blake mentions the name involved, Stella realizes it was the same man from her tattoo shop. Stella gets Tyler’s number and meets him for dinner, where she confronts him about targeting her underage brother. Tyler transfers the debt to Stella and gives her terms. She must fake-date him and bring him into her family’s social circle so he can recruit wealthy clients. She agrees because refusing would damage both her brother and her family. After dinner, Stella believes she has blackmailed Tyler by secretly recording their conversation, but Tyler was already prepared and scrambled the recording, leaving her back at square one.
Tyler begins integrating himself into Stella’s world through public events and private appearances. The first major event is at Stella’s parents’ house, where he meets her parents and other close family members. It is his first true interaction with the elite social circle he wants access to. Tyler charms Stella’s parents easily and gains more control over Stella through the debt hanging over her. During this time, Stella reveals more about her past. She was blamed for a hit and run that destroyed her reputation, but in reality her friend Maddie was driving and fled the scene. Stella took responsibility in the civil case so the victim, Runa, could have her medical bills covered. Stella visits Runa regularly in the hospital, and the two slowly become close.
The next time Tyler picks Stella up, their already tense relationship gets worse when he brings up the crash. Tyler believes Stella’s wealthy parents paid to make the situation disappear. Stella explains that Maddie was truly responsible, but Tyler’s accusations still upset her. Things become even more tense when they attend another public event where they must continue pretending to date. Stella eventually confronts Maddie publicly and exposes her role in the crash, forcing Maddie to lose control in front of witnesses. Tyler backs Stella completely and increases the pressure by exposing other crimes tied to Maddie’s past. Around the same time, Stella suffers a flare-up of a medical condition. Tyler becomes genuinely concerned and learns from Stella’s mother how to help take care of her. Meanwhile, Tyler’s underground operation continues expanding as he draws employees connected to Stella’s family business into his gambling network.
Tyler and Stella’s relationship grows stronger after Tyler learns more about her past. Soon after, they reconnect with one of Stella’s old friends, AJ. The chemistry between the three of them grows quickly, and after a night together they agree they want to continue exploring the relationship. While Stella believes Tyler is finally on her side, she still does not know the full extent of his larger plan. At another party hosted by Stella’s parents, Maddie shows up again, but this time Tyler is fully prepared. He strategically places witnesses around the room, and Maddie accidentally reveals the truth about the car crash herself. With everyone finally knowing the truth, Maddie flees. The entire confrontation leaves Stella emotionally and physically exhausted. Tyler takes her home, but during the drive they argue, triggering Stella’s trauma from the hit and run. When Tyler is forced to swerve the car suddenly, Stella panics and gets out in the rain. Feeling guilty, Tyler carries her the rest of the way home. He tells her he will let her go after one final night together, and Stella agrees. The two spend the night together and part on surprisingly good terms.
The next morning, Blake tells Stella he never trusted Tyler. He explains that Tyler has been targeting employees from Richard Lawson’s company at every party, secretly inviting them into his underground gambling ring. Blake takes Stella to one of Tyler’s events to show her the truth. The operation collapses when Blake alerts the authorities and a raid shuts down the event. Many employees connected to Stella’s family are caught in the chaos. Tyler forces Stella to flee with him and finally reveals everything, including his real identity as Tyler Neumann. Stella realizes Tyler is Richard Lawson’s son and understands his long-term goal was to dismantle Richard’s company by blackmailing employees and gathering leverage against him. Tyler admits his motivation has always been revenge for his mother, who he believed Richard abandoned. Stella challenges that belief and pushes him to confront the truth.
Tyler takes Stella to his hometown to learn what really happened. His aunt reveals that Tyler’s mother left Richard willingly and lied about being abandoned. This destroys the foundation of Tyler’s revenge plan and forces him to realize his entire operation was built on false information. During the confrontation, Stella is injured by a car, and Tyler has to call AJ and Josh for help. The situation forces Tyler to reevaluate everything, and he abandons his revenge plan completely. After Stella is released from the hospital, Tyler apologizes and finally opens up emotionally, revealing his praise and brat kink and asking Stella to take control. The two begin building a more honest relationship through that dynamic.
Tyler later goes to confront Richard, with Stella by his side, and learns that Richard had intended to stay with Tyler’s mother and be part of Tyler’s life. Richard explains that he searched for them for years after they disappeared. Tyler chooses not to destroy him and instead begins trying to repair the damage he caused. Stella remains involved and continues supporting Tyler through the fallout.
By the end, Tyler and Stella maintain a complicated but stable relationship. Though they admit they love each other, both feel something is still missing. They eventually decide to bring AJ fully into the relationship, and the three become a couple. Together they continue exposing people tied to past crimes, including investigations connected to Maddie. The three of them settle into their unusual relationship and begin figuring out how to build a future together.
