Here is a summary with spoilers of Fall of Ruin and Wrath

Calista "Lis" is our protagonist, a young woman with a rare and enigmatic power: she can glimpse someone's future through touch or sight. This gift works on everyone—except Prince Thorn, the moody and enigmatic heir to the throne. Once an orphan living on the streets, Lis was rescued by Claude, the Baron of Archwood, who offered her protection and purpose. She now serves as a courtesan in his household, alongside her closest friend, Grady, though they are currently separated.

The world Lis inhabits is scarred by the ancient wrath of gods, its surface shattered and left with only nine surviving cities. These cities, isolated by treacherous wilderness swarming with monsters, are ruled by powerful guardians—royalty who draw strength from mortal pleasures.

Lis’s gift and sharp intuition have made her invaluable to Claude, who has his flaws but treats her and the others under his care with kindness. One fateful evening, Lis’s foresight leads her to save a Hyhborn, a near-immortal being with godlike power, from an ambush by mortals. This act of courage sets her on a path she cannot escape.

Her intuition burns brighter when she encounters a traveling prince—Thorn—whose life she saves in a moment of dire peril. Her inner voice warns her: this prince will bring her joy today but doom in the future. When the Baron takes an interest in Thorn and the prince, in turn, is drawn to Lis, she becomes his temporary companion.

Amidst growing unrest in the city, with rebellion brewing and threats looming at the gates, Lis finds herself entangled with Thorn in more ways than one. Her unique power becomes her shield, but her connection to the brooding prince ignites both passion and peril.

When a violent, bloody night shatters her fragile sense of security, Lis is captured by Hyhborn creatures who reveal a chilling prophecy: Thorn is destined to kill her. As the book ends, Thorn catches up to Lis, leaving her fate—and their bond—hanging in the balance.
